The Art Students League of New York’s two-year program allows artists to earn a Certificate of Fine Arts that demonstrates the skills needed to build your career in comics, animation, game development and more. Artists in this program will take a combination of classes and workshops that cover topics including: Advanced Drawing and Artistic Anatomy, Comics and Sequential Art, Character Design, Art for Animation, Storytelling and Storyboarding, Conventions and Networking, Portfolio Development, Publishing, Exhibitions.

This program’s accomplished instructors are industry professionals who will work one-on-one with artists to guide them through their first year of foundational skill-building with a heavy emphasis on drawing, and their second year of concentrated study and mentorship.

The Art Students League of New York was founded in 1875 by a group of art students who had the revolutionary idea that a fine art education should be accessible to all. In the nearly one hundred and fifty years since, the League has built a legacy as a school where a diverse community of artists are inspired to produce work that reflects their full potential.
