NEMO is looking for seven professionals from across Europe to take part in a self-evaluation exercise in Riga, Latvia, from 23-25 November 2022. Each participant will receive a mobility grant of €1000 for travel and accommodation. The seven grant holders will join a self-evaluation exercise carried out by the Latvian War Museum under the MOI! Museums of Impact evaluation framework. The participants will join the session as outside observers to follow the process and gain an intimate understanding of what the framework is and how it works in a real-life situation. The mobility exercise allows participants to dive deeper into the framework, participate in discussions and enlarge their competence in developing museums towards impact. The participants will also have the opportunity to get to know the Latvian War Museum as well as to meet and exchange with colleagues. The European cooperation project MOI! Museums of Impact has since 2019 developed a European self-evaluation framework for museums, with impact at its core, for the benefit of both museums and European citizens. The framework helps museums to develop their capacity to meet the demands of a changing, more diverse, increasingly digital and ageing society, by supporting them in evaluating and actively refocusing their work in line with their own strengths and strategies. The framework is a joint effort of a partnership of 11 European museums, museum developers and public bodies, amongst them NEMO, led by the Finnish Heritage Agency.
