Call for Session Proposal. Society for the History of Collecting at CAA 2027.

The Society for the History of Collecting is accepting proposals to chair next year’s dedicated session at the College Art Association annual conference, which will be held 3-6 February 2027 in New York.

The proposed panel may cover any period, geographic location, or category of collecting. We encourage themes that address broad methodological issues and cross-cultural topics.

The Call for Papers will then be announced through our website and through CAA. Chairs should be members in good standing of the Society and CAA.

Please email (by April 25) your 500-word abstract along with a CV to americas@societyhistorycollecting.org

Applicants will be notified well before CAA's April 25 deadline for session proposals.
