Training (individual)


Short-term training at home or abroad in the field of development, (post) production, and/or distribution/display of film productions and innovation in the film sector. The training must be aimed at professionals, demonstrably relate to the Dutch film practice, be of a professional and high-quality level and increase the professional knowledge and skills of the applicant within his or her own field.


Subsidy for participation in a training course outside one's own field is only awarded if there is sufficient motivation for how the training contributes to increasing knowledge and skills with regard to the current work.

Who is eligible?

A natural person who has been working as a film professional for at least two years, with demonstrable solid specialist knowledge and experience in their own field that must be current and of a professional level. Contribution

All target amounts can be found in Chapter 2 of the Financial and Production Protocol.

  • A maximum of 75% to a maximum of € 3,000 per year as a contribution towards the individual costs for practical study of a film professional active within the Dutch film sector.

In exceptional cases, the Film Fund may decide to grant a higher contribution for following a training programme, up to a maximum of 75% of the total costs.

When to apply?

Applications can be submitted year-round to the film professional participating in the training under their own personal digital account. Pay attention! : An application for a training must be submitted at least four weeks before the start of the training.

Procedure

Under the responsibility of the project manager talent development and film activities, the National department is responsible for the substantive and business assessment and advice of applications. Pursuant to Article 3 of the General Regulations, the director/director decides on the application.

Apply for a subsidy

The digital application in Frame is leading in the assessment. You submit this application in Frame together with the requested attachments. Only complete applications will be considered. Use this checklist before submitting your application to make sure it will be considered. As an applicant, you must also e-mail the (digitally) signed application form as a PDF, excluding attachments, to applications@filmfonds.nl . You do this by stating the following information (can be found under question 1.1 or 1.2 on your application form):

  • Project title

  • Application number

  • Category

  • Sub-regulations

  1. Select - if applicable - the account you want to submit with.
