As the City of Munich’s artist-in-residence program they offer artists, curators, and scientists from all over the world space, time, and financial support – so they have a place to stay, work, make presentations, reflect, and participate in discussions.

Length of stay - Three months on the average
Grant - 1,200 € per month
APPLYING FOR A RESIDENCY / GRANT It is possible to apply for a residency as a guest artist through our open calls for applications, or by being suggested for the program by one of our Munich cooperation partners. Open calls are regularly published on our homepage. Proposals from Munich cooperation partners are welcome for the year 2023. Unsolicited applications will only be considered in exceptional cases – for example, when other artists cancel on short notice. Artists suggested for the program must reside outside of Bavaria. Guest artists who stay at one of the residences will receive a monthly grant of € 1,200. In addition, we will reimburse them for a monthly ticket for the local public transportation system.
