The cultural department of the state capital Munich, the URRA organization in Buenos Aires (Fundación VERIA), the Goethe-Institut Buenos Aires, the cultural department of the city of Buenos Aires and the Instituto Cervantes de Múnich offer a Munich artist the possibility of a three-month stay as a artist-in-residence as part of the URRA Tigre program (www.urraurra.com). The artist residence in Buenos Aires is part of an exchange program between Munich and Buenos Aires, in which, in return, an artist from Buenos Aires is an artist-in-residence at Villa Waldberta (www.air-m.de) is made possible.
Who can apply?
Professional visual artists from Munich and the Munich S-Bahn area can apply now. There is no age limit, but the exchange is not suitable for students or artists who are at the beginning of their careers.
We offer
Travel expenses for a flight (economy class) Munich - Buenos Aires - Munich
Accommodation in a single room with private bathroom in a shared house and a shared studio and work space in URRA Tigre
Living expenses ($ 800 / monthly)
A program of public activities such as audiovisual presentations and open studios
An informal program with visits and meetings with other colleagues
Exchange with curators and art specialists

Jury and decision-making process
A Munich jury, consisting of representatives of the cultural department, the URRA organization, the Goethe-Institut and the Instituto Cervantes de Múnich selects three candidates and sends this preselection to the URRA Tigre organization, which makes the final selection together with the local participants Partner institutions and an external curator. We will inform you about the success of your application by July 15, 2021 .
Requirements for applicants:
Participation in the URRA Tigre residence in the specified months
Participation in the activities of the project according to the schedule
A written experience report about the stay as part of the AIR-M and URRA program
Both cooperation partners (AIR-M and URRA) are to be named in the context of public relations, if possible also the cooperation partners Goethe-Institut Buenos Aires, Instituto Cervantes de Múnich, Minsterio de Cultura del Gobierno de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires
Independent organization of travel and health insurance for the entire stay
Valid passport
Important: As part of the residency, staying together with partners and family is not planned. Visits are of course possible. There is a basic residence requirement.
Participation in the tender presupposes that the above conditions of the project are accepted
