To promote Dutch films abroad, directors (sometimes leading actors) are invited to attend the screening of their film at festivals. SEE NL can contribute towards the travel costs for a selected number of festivals. Submit a request for this prior to the trip via international@eyefilm.nl . The following conditions must be met for a travel grant: - the invitation comes from a festival that is mentioned on the SEE NL Travel grant list ; - the festival has sent an official invitation and offers the invitee a minimum of 3 nights hotel; - the films selected by the festival are made with the aim of being shown in the cinema and are in principle supported by the Film Fund/CoBO; - Only one travel grant can be applied for per festival.
The travel allowance for feature films and feature-length documentaries is in principle 2/3 of the cost of the cheapest ticket to the destination, with a maximum of €600 outside Europe and 2/3 of the cost of the cheapest ticket to the place of destination, with a maximum of €200 within Europe.
