The submission of animated films for the international competition is possible from now until October 4, 2021. The international competition of Tricky Women / Tricky Realities sees itself as a seismograph of the worldwide independent animation filmmaking of women *. The next festival edition will take place from March 9th to 13th, 2022.
In 2022 we will award the Maria Lassnig Golden Film Roll named after the renowned Austrian artist for the first time . The award is endowed with 10,000 euros and is made available by the Maria Lassnig Foundation . An international jury of experts will award it to an outstanding animated film every year from 2022 as part of the international competition.
We look forward to submissions in the following categories:
International competition (animated short films completed after January 1, 2020 can be submitted)
Work / Work Affairs in cooperation with the Vienna Chamber of Labor (not limited to current work)
Feminism rocks! (not limited to current work)
Animated feature films (do not run in competition)
