The Association of Friends of the Wolfsburg City Gallery, jugend in der galerie eV, and the Volkswagen Group are offering a scholarship for art mediators for the fifth time. The Volkswagen Fellowship supports art mediators and innovative approaches to mediating contemporary art. The scholarship is awarded for one year at a time and the format is specially designed for the Städtische Galerie Wolfsburg.
The aim of the scholarship is to give art educators at the beginning of their careers space to develop and implement ideas and concepts. Conventional routines in the environment of a changing society and its urgent questions and challenges are to be examined and new perspectives opened up.
The funding is provided through the monthly awarding of the scholarship in the amount of €1,500 over a period of 12 months (October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023).
